Charter issue looms in firearms case

A Hanwell man accused of numerous counts of illegal firearms possession will argue his Charter rights were violated in the course of the investigation leading to the charges.
Matthew Wheelhouse, 41, of Highway 640, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday accompanied by defence counsel Michael Mallory.
Wheelhouse faces nine indictable charges, alleging offences involving various firearms, all in Hanwell on July 18, 2024.
