Brewers Mills man denies child-porn charges

Dana Mitchel Chase, 49, to stand trial on allegations of possessing, accessing illicit material

A man from the capital region is headed to trial on child-pornography and firearms allegations after denying the charges Thursday.

Dana Mitchel Chase, 49, of Highway 104 in Brewers Mills, about 40 kilometres west of Fredericton, was back in Fredericton provincial court Thursday to answer to three criminal charges.

Those counts allege he possessed child pornography between Nov. 10 and 30, 2023; accessed such material between Oct. 28 and Nov. 29, 2023; and stored a firearm carelessly Nov. 30, 2023, at Brewers Mills.
