A Fredericton-area man let his legal-aid lawyer go Tuesday, demanded to be represented by one who died years ago and threatened to have the judge canned if she didn’t do what he said.

Jason Rodney McBride, 45, of no fixed address, appeared in provincial court by telephone from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre to answer to three charges laid by the Fredericton Police Force this spring.

He’s accused of breaking into a Government of New Brunswick radio communications tower on James Kidd Flemming Circle in Fredericton, causing property damage to a window at that location and breaching a probation order, all on May 6.
