Break-in suspect calm in latest appearance
In previous court proceeding, Jason Rodney McBride, 45, demanded deceased lawyer represent him on latest charges, hung up on judge from jail, threatened to have her fired
A Fredericton-area man who hung up on a judge during an argumentative telephone appearance in court from jail earlier this month was far more sedate and respectful during his latest court date.
Jason Rodney McBride, 45, of no fixed address, fired his legal-aid lawyer July 9 during a tumultuous appearance in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Saint John jail, and he was back before the court, again remotely, Tuesday to sort out the issue of defence counsel.
The defendant faces May 6 charges of breaking into a Government of New Brunswick radio communications tower on James Kidd Flemming Circle in Fredericton, causing damage to a window there and violating his probation in the process.
