Bogus-bills suspect pleads not guilty
Tyler Joshua Depow, 33, faces 56 charges from all over New Brunswick, defence says
A detained suspect facing more than 50 criminal charges from around the province denied all counts Monday, but his defence lawyer noted that move was intended to jump-start negotiations with the Crown.
Tyler Joshua Depow, 33, formerly of Oromocto, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Southeast Regional Correctional Centre in Shediac on Monday morning to answer to a long list of charges.
Defence lawyer Ben Reentovich said it’s a complicated case, and there have been ongoing issues with disclosure.
“Some has been received,” he said. “There’s 56 charges, 20 of those I don’t have disclosure on.”
