Biker’s injuries not life-threatening - cops
Driver of sedan involved in collision in downtown Fredericton on Thursday was issued ticket
A motorcyclist struck by a car in downtown Fredericton on Thursday evening sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police report, and the driver of the sedan was issued a ticket.
Members of the Fredericton Police Force and other first responders were dispatched to the scene of a collision between a sedan and a motorcycle at 6:37 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Regent and Queen streets.

Police spokesperson Sonya Gilks said the motorcyclist was taken to hospital, and police shut down the intersection for more than an hour as part of the investigation.
At the time, Gilks said the biker’s injuries were unknown.
“The injured motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries,” she told the Fredericton Independent in a followup Friday.
Gilks also noted that while no criminal charges arose, the driver of the sedan was issued a ticket for an alleged Motor Vehicle Act offence.
