A Fredericton man arrested and charged last week with setting part of a national historic site ablaze in the capital’s downtown core will remain in custody at least a while longer.

Cole Christopher Harris, 28, was scheduled to go through a bail hearing Tuesday in Fredericton provincial court.

He was arrested March 26 and charged the following day with counts of arson and probation violation.

The charges stem from a fire at the Militia Arms Storehouse on Carleton Street, part of the historic Garrison District, the afternoon of March 12.
