A Bilijk (Kingsclear) First Nation man accused of endangering the life of another by wounding him last month told a court Monday he’s yet to hear from a defence lawyer.
Tyler Matthew Sabattis, 32, of Kingsclear Avenue, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Monday, scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter pleas to three charges.
He’s accused of committing an aggravated assault on Jared Paul by wounding, maiming, disfiguring or endangering his life; uttering a threat to him to cause him death and/or bodily harm; and possessing weapons - namely, two knives and a shovel - for a purpose dangerous to the public peace.
The RCMP charges allege May 20 events at Bilijk First Nation.
