Accused pleads not guilty to sex-abuse counts
Brian Porter, 70, of Nauwigewauk, faces allegation of inviting child to touch him sexually
An elderly man from the Saint John region of the province is headed to trial on allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct with a minor from last year.
Brian Porter, 70, of Bonney Road in Nauwigewauk, about 25 kilometres northeast of Saint John, was back in Fredericton provincial court Monday, accompanied by defence lawyer Edward Derrah, to answer to two indictable charges.
Derrah said his client had chosen to be tried in provincial court and pleads not guilty to charges of inviting or counselling a minor to touch him for a sexual purpose and committing an indecent act by exposing his genitals to that same child.
