Accused admits to burglaries, drug crimes

A Fredericton man jailed in Québec admitted Monday to numerous crimes - including home invasions, drug-trafficking offences and peddling in stolen stamps - and will undoubtedly face more time in custody.
George Edward Andrew Joseph Pearce, 52, of Eastwood Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court remotely from a Québec jail Monday on outstanding charges stemming from events in the capital region last year.
Defence lawyer Edward Derrah was on hand in court to represent the defendant.
