You (don’t) got it, Pontiac!
RCMP seeks tips from public on whereabouts of classic sports car stolen Thursday morning
Someone out there is at the wheel of a sweet, sweet ride – but they’re not supposed to be.
The Minto detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Friday afternoon about a vehicle theft that occurred the day before along Route 10 just east of Fredericton, and the stolen ride is a rather distinct one.
Stolen was a classic sports car - a silver 1973 Pontiac Ventura.

Police advised it sports the New Brunswick licence plate of HTWEELZ and has a vehicle identification number (VIN) of 2Y27M3W152048.
“The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 20, 2025,” the release said.
“The car was parked on the side of the Highway between Noonan, N.B., and Minto, N.B.”
The Mounties are hoping members of the public might provide tips about the theft or the location of the 52-year-old classic car.
Anyone who has seen the Ventura since Thursday morning or who otherwise has information that could aid the investigation is urged to call the Minto detachment at 506-357-4300.
