Crown drops aggravated-assault, threat charges against Raishaun Codell Thompson, 34

Stating a conviction was unlikely in the case, a prosecutor moved to withdraw a serious assault charge against a Fredericton man in court Friday.

Raishaun Codell Thompson, 34, of Albert Street, had an upcoming trial on serious indictable charges dating back almost two years.

He’d previously elected to be tried in provincial court and pleaded not guilty to June 29, 2024, counts of committing an aggravated assault on Job Ajoge by wounding or endangering his life, and uttering threats to Ajoge to cause him death and/or bodily harm.
