Woman bounces in and out of custody
Joe-Anna Hachey, 31, of Fredericton, who was remanded day after she was granted release on conditions last week following two no-shows in court was sprung once again Monday
A Fredericton woman with a manslaughter conviction on her record who missed court dates twice this month was released on conditions - twice in the span of five days.
Fredericton provincial court judges issued arrest warrants twice this month for Joe-Anna Hachey, 31, of no fixed address, after she failed to attend court to answer to a variety of criminal offences alleged to have occurred this spring and summer.
Among the charges she’s facing are failing to report to her probation officer April 23; causing damage to a 2020 Ford F150 belonging to Cameron Wade and breaching probation May 25; and stealing a 2008 Mazda Tribute belonging to Shawn Marie Moore, driving while suspended and breaching her probation again July 27.
She was detained by police last week and held in custody pending a bail hearing set for the morning of Aug. 22.
