Angela Jane Young, 50, of Young Lane, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Friday for her initial appearance on two charges laid by the New Brunswick SPCA, both alleging the same instance of animal neglect.

She faces a count under the Criminal Code of Canada of wilfully neglecting horses in her ownership or care by failing to provide suitable or adequate food, water or care for them, as well as a charge under the provincial SPCA Act for the same failure to provide food, water and/or care.
