Warrant issued for sex-crime suspect

A Staples Settlement man set to elect mode of trial and enter pleas to sex-related charges involving a minor didn’t show up in court as required Wednesday, and now there’s a warrant out for his arrest.
Justin Ryan Nye, 40, of Wiggins Mill Road in Staples Settlement, about 45 kilometres west of Fredericton, was scheduled to answer to several charges alleging sexual offences and other crimes between 2023 and 2024 in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday.
