A Temperance Vale man is set to stand trial in early 2027 after his legal counsel entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf Wednesday to a charge of sexual interference with a minor.
Freeman Michael Waugh, 41, of Pike Hill Road, about 70 kilometres west of Fredericton, is facing a summary charge alleging he touched a minor for a sexual purpose in Nackawic between Jan. 1, 2022, and May 21, 2025.
There’s a court-ordered publication ban in effect protecting the identity of the underage complainant.
