UNB prof denies impaired-driving charges

A University of New Brunswick engineering professor who was convicted and sentenced 10 months ago for impaired driving was back in court Monday, accused of the same offence again.

Yevgen Biletskiy, 54, of Reading Street in Fredericton, made his first appearance in Fredericton provincial court Monday only alternate July 25 charges of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and having an elevated blood-alcohol level within two hours of driving.

He also faces a related count of driving while subject to a court order prohibiting him from doing so.
