Brandon Lee Cote, 31, kept violating court order barring him from being around minors
A diagnosed pedophile prohibited from contact with children was seen repeatedly in the company of minors last year and early this year, earning him an extended stay behind bars.
Brandon Lee Cote, 31, formerly of Chipman and Oromocto, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by video Thursday for a sentencing hearing.
He previously pleaded guilty to violating a court order barring him from associating and communicating with children on several occasions - on May 17, 2024, in Fredericton; between Sept. 1, 2024, and Jan. 29 in Fredericton; and again in Oromocto on Jan. 6.
Cote has been subject to the stay-away order since Dec. 27, 2018, when he was sentenced for child-pornography offences.
