Two Fredericton men arrested late Wednesday night on drug-trafficking and firearms allegations will cool their heels in jail over the weekend pending their bail hearings.

Philip Charters, 46, and Jerrod Andrew Mansfield, 39, both of Woodstock Road, appeared by telephone from the Fredericton police station cellblock in separate provincial court proceedings Thursday afternoon.

Both were charged with possessing fentanyl, methamphetamines and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
