Twins plead not guilty to aggravated assault
Skylar Victor Clark Paul and Salem Gordon Leon Paul, both 29, of Bilijk First Nation, get trial dates in March 2027, but defence counsel for Skylar says she plans to request psych exam
Twin brothers jointly charged with wounding or maiming another man last fall denied the allegation in court Thursday, but one of them might be seeking a psychiatric assessment before trial.
Salem Gordon Leon Paul and Skylar Victor Clark Paul, both, 29, of Veterans Court at Bilijk (Kingsclear) First Nation, appeared remotely in Fredericton provincial court Thursday from custody - Salem by video, Skylar by telephone - to answer to a joint charge of aggravated assault.
The RCMP charge accuses them of wounding, maiming, disfiguring or otherwise endangering the life of Jeff Paul on Nov. 30 at Bilijk First Nation.
