Salem Gordon Leon Paul and Skylar Victor Clark Paul, both, 29, of Veterans Court at Bilijk (Kingsclear) First Nation, appeared remotely in Fredericton provincial court Thursday from custody - Salem by video, Skylar by telephone - to answer to a joint charge of aggravated assault.

The RCMP charge accuses them of wounding, maiming, disfiguring or otherwise endangering the life of Jeff Paul on Nov. 30 at Bilijk First Nation.
