A Long Creek man accused of assaulting a woman with a truck and a beer can two weeks ago has been released from custody on conditions following a bail hearing Monday.

Corey Perry, 39, of Highfield Cross Road, about 90 kilometres east of Fredericton, closer to Sussex, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by video from a custodial facility Monday for a bail hearing.

He’s accused of assaulting Alyssa Carr with weapons (a GMC truck and a beer can), assaulting her and causing her bodily harm, choking her and uttering a threat to burn or destroy her property.
