Trio of meth couriers face prison terms

Joint recommendations made for Matthew William Harris, 46, and Robert “Rob” Louis Michaud, 54, for federal terms, but Adrienne Susan Dickison, 34, seeks conditional sentence

Two Upper River Valley men are headed to prison for importing crystal meth from out west to the Fredericton area, but a woman arrested with them two years ago is hoping for a community-based sentence.

Matthew William Harris, 46, of Main Street in Meductic; Robert “Rob” Louis Michaud, 54, formerly of Grand Falls; and Adrienne Susan Dickison, 34, of Route 122 in Dow Settlement; appeared in Fredericton provincial court Sept. 26 for a sentencing hearing.

The trio from the Woodstock area pleaded guilty this summer to possessing methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking in Lincoln on Nov. 23, 2023.

The defendants were arrested after flying into the Fredericton International Airport on that date, originating from British Columbia, transporting a significant stash of crystal meth from out west, court heard.
