A Fredericton man will stand trial in a year’s time on an allegation of sexual assault dating back to the summer of 2022.
Jay-Yong Leo Roy, 26, formerly of Sunset Drive but now of Birch Crescent, was scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter a plea Tuesday to an Aug. 1, 2022, count of sexual assault, alleged to have occurred in Fredericton.
There’s a court-ordered publication ban in effect protecting the identity of the adult female complainant.
