Stolen SUV linked to up-river thefts - RCMP
Police seek public’s assistance in locating boosted vehicle connected to additional crimes
A stolen SUV has been connected to other thefts in the up-river communities of Plaster Rock and Grand Falls, and the Mounties are hoping members of the public can help them track it down.
The Perth-Andover detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Friday afternoon about its investigation into the theft of a sport utility vehicle in Carlingford, located near Perth-Andover and about 75 kilometres north of Woodstock.

“The theft is believed to have occurred on the morning of Feb. 5, 2026, at a residence on Highway 190 in Carlingford,” it said.
The SUV is a white 2013 Honda CRV, with New Brunswick’s licence plate JZU 117 and vehicle identification number 2HKRM4H90DH111212, the RCMP reported, noting that the licence plate may have been altered and that the hood of the SUV had since been painted black.
“It is very important to contact police immediately if you see this vehicle in your neighbourhood,” Sgt. Robert Dickinson of the Perth‑Andover RCMP said in the release.
“A vehicle matching the same description was previously reported in connection with thefts that occurred in the Plaster Rock and Grand Falls areas.”
Anyone who has seen the SUV since Feb. 5 or who otherwise has information that could aid the investigation is urged to call the Perth-Andover RCMP at 506-273-5000.
