Sex offender ghosts court again

A Fredericton woman whom a judge released on conditions following a bail hearing last month despite repeated failures to attend court was a no-show once again Thursday.
Katherine Elizabeth McIntyre, 36, of no fixed address, was scheduled to be in Fredericton provincial court Thursday to enter pleas to charges of breaching an order under the Sex Offender Information Registration Act (SOIRA) on June 20, 2024, by failing to report a change of address to the registration centre; breaching it again Aug. 16, 2024, by failing to report to registration centre for an annual check-in; and stealing merchandise from the Atlantic Superstore on Main Street on Nov. 16.
