Sex offender breached stay-away order
Brandon Lee Cote, 31, of Oromocto, admits to another charge while awaiting sentencing
A convicted sex offender awaiting sentencing for various offences, including violating a court order barring him from contact with kids, admitted to another such breach Wednesday.
Brandon Lee Cote, 31, formerly of Finnamore Street in Oromocto, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday in person and in custody, scheduled to stand trial on a May 17, 2024, charge of breaching a court order prohibiting him from unsupervised contact with children.
However, defence lawyer Edward Derrah said his client was instead seeking to change his plea to guilty.
