Sex offender arrested on warrant
Katherine Elizabeth McIntyre, 36, of no fixed address, who’s accused of breaching registration order twice in 2024, also now faces new count alleging shoplifting last month
A Fredericton woman wept in court Wednesday knowing she’d be remanded on alleged violations of a sex-offender registration order and a new shoplifting charge, as she got secured housing after a stint of homelessness.
A Fredericton provincial court judge issued a warrant for the arrest of Katherine Elizabeth McIntyre, 36, of no fixed address, last month on two charges alleging she breached the terms of an order under the Sex Offender Information Registration Act (SOIRA) that was issued Sept 14, 2015.
Those two charges allege she failed to inform the registration centre of a change of address June 20, 2024, and that she failed to report for her annual check-in Aug. 16, 2024.
