Remanded panhandler sent for psych exam
Robert (“Robbie”) Keith MacDonald, 49, of no fixed address, says he’s innocent but tries to plead guilty, leading defence counsel to seek assessment to determine fitness to stand trial
A homeless man ranted in court about how he was innocent of numerous charges, including a sexual assault on a minor, but also sought to plead guilty and get the cases against him over with.

Robert (“Robbie”) Keith MacDonald, 49, of no fixed address, was brought to Fredericton provincial court in person and in custody Thursday for the latest in a long series of appearances, scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter pleas to numerous charges from last year.
The most serious of those charges allege he sexually assaulted a minor, invited that complainant to touch him for a sexual purpose, touched the child for a sexual purpose and breached his probation in the process, all on Aug. 10 in Fredericton.
