A Mainstream man who’s been in custody for more than a year will remain behind bars after being sentenced Friday to a total of two years’ incarceration for impaired driving causing bodily harm.

Zachary Sarchfield, 31, of Mainstream Road in Mainstream, near Hartland, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Friday by video conference from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre for a sentencing hearing.

He previously pleaded guilty to Nov. 2, 2024, charges of dangerous driving causing bodily harm to Christina Ballard, possessing a stolen 2024 Yamaha Griz ATV belonging to Tristen Little and breaching a judicial release order, all in Harvey.
