UPDATE: Oromocto shoplifting suspect ID'd
RCMP releases pix of man who allegedly stole merchandise from Oromocto store Oct. 27
After issuing an alert recently for a man being sought on suspicion of shoplifting in Oromocto a couple of weeks ago, the Mounties now report they’ve got their man.
The Oromocto detachment of the RCMP released photos Nov. 6 of a man officers were seeking to identify in connection with a shoplifting offence in Oromocto.

“The theft occurred on Oct. 27, 2025, when an individual entered a business on Restigouche Road in Oromocto and left with merchandise without paying,” the RCMP said in a news release.
By releasing photos taken from store surveillance footage, police are hoping members of the public might recognize them.
“The individual is described as being a man in his 30s with a medium build and black hair,” the release said. “He was wearing a black coat with a black hoodie, blue jeans and brown shoes.”
In an update issued Nov. 12, the Oromocto RCMP announced the individual had been identified, and it thanked the public for its assistance with the matter.
