Missing Charters Settlement girl found
RCMP issued alert about 15-year-old Monday, marking second time she disappeared
A Charters Settlement girl who was reported as missing early Monday morning and who was subsequently spotted getting into a car in Lincoln a short time later has been found, the RCMP reports.
The Oromocto detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Monday morning, advising that a 15-year-old girl from Charters Settlement, about 10 kilometres south of Fredericton, was missing.
She’d last been seen at about 12:05 a.m. Monday, police said, later following up that she was seen in a business parking lot on Nevers Road in Lincoln at 12:45 a.m. that same morning.
The RCMP was seeking tips from the public on the girl’s whereabouts.
The Oromocto detachment subsequently reported Tuesday morning that the girl had been found and was safe.
Monday’s disappearance marks the second time the teenager had been reported as missing this year.
The Fredericton Police Force issued a similar advisory this summer, announcing she had gone missing in late July. She was found a couple of days later.
