A judge ruled last week that a Fredericton man accused of drug-trafficking charges, among other alleged crimes, had shown the court that he could be released on strict conditions, including electronic monitoring.

Jamie Kyle Tomah, 42, of Canada Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by video Friday from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre for a bail hearing.

He faces several charges from Dec. 27, including allegations that he possessed cocaine for the purposes of trafficking as well as hashish for the purpose of distribution. The latter is a charge under the Cannabis Act as opposed to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, like the former.
