Canada’s national police force recently launched a new online, public database listing convicted child sex offenders considered to pose high risk public safety.

However, New Brunswick and many other jurisdictions have yet to contribute any such predators as part of the effort to warn the public.

The RCMP launched its new High Risk Child Sex Offender Database earlier this month, which is publicly accessible online.

“This is the first of its kind in Canada,” the force said in a news release.

“The database contains centralized information about people who have been found guilty of a sexual offence against children and who pose a high risk of committing crimes of a sexual nature.”
