Raymond Wilson Curtis, 41, of Gray Rapids, is due back in court Oct. 14 for election, pleas
A team effort between policing units based in Fredericton and Miramichi led to two arrests and the seizure of more than $20,000 in street drugs in the capital last month, police reported Wednesday.
The Fredericton Police Force issued a news release Wednesday about a joint investigation between the integrated enforcement units with the Fredericton force and the Miramichi Police Force that’s led to a trafficking prosecution against a New Brunswick man.

“On Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, a targeted operation led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man from Gray Rapids, N.B., and a 48-year-old woman from Miramichi,” the release said, noting that police seized almost 110 grams of cocaine, more than 150 grams of methamphetamine and a quantity of cash
The search and arrests occurred on Fredericton’s north side, it said.
While the female suspect was released on a promise to appear in court at a later and is subject to the conditions of a police undertaking, Raymond Wilson Curtis, 41, of Route 118 in Gray Rapids, about 50 kilometres southwest of Miramichi, faces charges of possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of $3,352.70 believed to be the proceeds of crime.
He was remanded pending a bail hearing, but on Sept. 22, the defendant opted to forgo that hearing and asked for his charges to be referred to plea court.
Curtis is now scheduled to appear in Fredericton provincial court Oct. 14 for election of mode of trial and pleas.
It’s expected the woman who was arrested will face the same counts as Curtis, the police news release said.
Integrated enforcement units consist of officers from municipal police forces, the New Brunswick RCMP, and the provincial Department of Justice and Public Safety. The units’ goals are to to improve law-enforcement’s responses to the growing issues of drugs, firearms and organized crime in the province.
