Mounties issue alert for wanted man

There’s a warrant of arrest out for a man from Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska on allegations of assault up river, and the RCMP is hoping the public can help police find him.
The Perth-Andover detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Monday evening, advising that Yves Levesques, 36, of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, N.B., is wanted on a warrant of arrest for assault causing bodily harm.
The warrant stems from a number of alleged assaults reported Wednesday, Nov. 13, in McLaughlin, near Plaster Rock, it said.
“He is known to police and is considered to be violent,” the release said. “He should not be approached by members of the public.”
Anyone who sees Levesques should contact local police immediately, the RCMP said.
