Minto man admits to aggravated assault
Alexander William James Boucher, 19, pleads guilty to wounding man in village last spring
A young Minto man will remain in custody pending sentencing after admitting Friday to several violent crimes, including a count of wounding and endangering the life of another man last May.
Alexander William James Boucher, 19, of Tamarack Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court in custody and in person Friday to answer to numerous charges.
He stood accused of committing an aggravated assault on Christopher Hogan by wounding, maiming, disfiguring or endangering his life, assaulting Brittany Barton with a weapon (a 2005 Subaru Legacy), driving dangerously, resisting two RCMP officers and driving with an elevated blood-alcohol level and thereby causing bodily harm to Hogan, all in Minto on May 10.
