Matthew William Harris, 46, of Main Street in Meductic, appeared before Fredericton provincial court Judge Lyne Raymond on Thursday afternoon for sentencing, having previously pleaded guilty to possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

The Crown and defence had offered a joint recommendation earlier this fall for 42 months in prison, but the official pronouncement of the sentence was delayed on a couple of occasions to give the offender a chance to make arrangements for his dogs before being incarcerated.
