A Meductic man accused of neglecting dogs this spring told a court Tuesday he didn’t have defence counsel but nevertheless denied charges under the Criminal Code and provincial SPCA Act.

Bryce Dickinson, 21, of Main Street in Meductic, was back in Fredericton provincial court Tuesday to face charges laid by the New Brunswick SPCA alleging he wilfully neglected or failed to provide adequate food and/or care for dogs.

He faces separate but alternate charges under both the Criminal Code of Canada and the New Brunswick SPCA Act.
