A Fredericton man accused of stealing cash while bartending at the Royal Canadian Legion in the capital last year denied the allegation Wednesday.

Harold Brian Nelligan, 58, of Barton Crescent, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday, set for plea on a charge of stealing less than $5,000 in cash from the Legion Branch No. 4 on Queen Street on March 7 while employed there as a bartender.
