Keswick Ridge man gets 3 years for sex crime
Cory Urquhart, 52, will be required to register as sex offender for 20 years following release
A judge, noting that a Keswick Ridge man stole parts of a teenage girl’s youth when he sexually assaulted her in his home more than three years ago, sentenced him to three years in prison Monday.
Cory Urquhart, 52, of Rocky Road, was back before Fredericton provincial court Judge Mélanie Poirier LeBlanc on Monday afternoon to hear her decision on his sentence.
The judge found him guilty after trial in October of sexually assaulting a teenage girl who found herself at his home with her friends, including the offender’s son, the night of Dec. 22 and 23, 2022.
There’s a court-ordered publication ban in effect protecting the identity of the victim.
