A Fredericton man facing charges of threatening to hurt three people, including a judge, and trying to intimidate that jurist denied those allegations Tuesday.

The 54-year-old defendant appeared in Fredericton provincial court in custody and in person Tuesday afternoon after he was denied conditional release following a bail hearing last month.

He’s accused of uttering threats to Melanie Collette and child-protection social worker Bronson Blizzard to cause them death and/or bodily harm, uttering threats to Blizzard to harm Fredericton provincial court Judge Natalie LeBlanc, and trying to provoke a state of fear in the judge to impede her in her role in the justice system.
