Laren B. Leavitt, 47, formerly of Regent Street in Fredericton, and Stephen Andrew Mohan, 44, of Victoria Street in St. Stephen, face joint charges of possession of heroin and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of prohibited weapons (brass knuckles and a machete) and possession of break-in instruments (a crowbar and power tools), all alleged to have occurred in Fredericton on May 13.

Leavitt is also charged with related counts of impaired driving, possessing ammunition and brass knuckles while he was prohibited by a court order, and possessing a prohibited knife.
