A Fredericton woman caught shoplifting at Fredericton grocery stores four times in the span of a month has been homeless for six years and in the throes of fentanyl addiction for a decade, court heard Thursday.

Amanda Lynn Saunders, 35, of no fixed address, previously pleaded guilty to four counts of theft late last year and was back in Fredericton provincial court Thursday for sentencing.
