Home intruder gets time served
Maurice Charles Chester Paul, 45, of Fredericton, takes issue with mandatory weapons ban
Upon being sentenced to time he’d already served for a break-in and illegal entry at two Fredericton homes last summer, a Fredericton man questioned Thursday why he’d be subject to a firearms prohibition.
Maurice Charles Chester Paul, 45, of Paul Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court in person and in custody Thursday for a sentencing hearing.
He’d been scheduled to stand trial earlier this month on indictable charges alleging he broke into a Ross Terrace residence and committed an indecent act there Aug. 6, and that he broke into a Riverside Drive residence Aug. 29.
