The buzz in court Friday was that a Fredericton man who stole a vibrator from a downtown store a year ago had already served his time for that and other petty crimes.
Brendan Daniel Ebbett, 32, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by video conference from a custodial facility Friday for his sentencing hearing.
He’d previously pleaded guilty to various summary offences, including thefts.
The first the court heard about occurred Dec. 7, 2024, at Pleasures and Treasures on Queen Street, where staff later told police that someone had shoplifted at the adult-novelty store.
