Gun-grab suspect faces new assault charge

Two days after he was in court this week to face an allegation that he tried to snatch a police officer’s sidearm, a Fredericton man found himself in custody, accused of assaulting a woman.

Tyson Maurice Sacobie, 38, of Epworth Circle, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Thursday afternoon by telephone from the cellblock at the city police station.

He was charged with an indictable count of assault on Kaylee Allen, alleged to have occurred earlier the same day in Fredericton.
