Two men from the Grand Lake area are facing indictable charges alleging they broke into a Minto home last fall and assaulted two people therein, and another court case points to a possible motive for the incident.

Matthew Mark Banks, 33, of Coy Road in Ripples; and Dustin James Tower, 36, of Centennial Drive in Minto; made their initial appearances in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday on break-in and assault charges.

Both are charged separately, but the RCMP charges indicate those counts occurred on the same date and same place.
