A Toronto resident accused of bilking the New Brunswick government of thousands of dollars will stand trial on the allegation in early 2027.
Maryan Afrah, 26, of Niagara Street in Toronto, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from Ontario on Thursday, scheduled to answer to an indictable criminal charge.
The defendant is accused of defrauding Service New Brunswick of more than $5,000 on April 18, 2024.
