Fredericton man dead after crash in Harvey
Single-vehicle accident on Route 635 on Tuesday morning closed road for investigation
A 42-year-old Fredericton man is dead as a result of a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Harvey, the RCMP reports.
Police issued an advisory shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday morning about an accident that closed traffic on a rural road for a short time.
“Due to a collision, the intersection of Highway 635 and Highway 636 in Harvey is closed,” the alert stated, asking people to steer clear of the area.
In a news release issued Friday, the Mounties revealed the accident involving a lone vehicle claimed the life of a 42-year-old man from Fredericton.
“On Oct. 28, 2025, at approximately 8:43 a.m., members of the Keswick RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 635, in Harvey,” it said, noting the victim was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
“The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver of the vehicle lost control, rolled over and landed on its roof.”
Also attending the scene were personnel from the Dumfries Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick and the New Brunswick coroner’s office, the release said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, the RCMP reported, adding that a collision reconstructionist is participating.
