Fredericton-area schools closed Tuesday
Monday’s snow leads to closures in Anglophone School District West, Francophone Sud
While the special weather alert stemming from Monday’s storm has been lifted, its effects are still being felt Tuesday, as schools in Fredericton and surrounding communities are closed for the day.

Anglophone School District West announced early Tuesday morning that all schools in weather zones 4 through 9 are closed for the day due to conditions arising from Monday’s weather.
Students in the district’s weather zones 1 through 3 - those in Edmundston; Grand Falls, Plaster Rock and Perth-Andover; and Florenceville-Bristol, Bath, Centreville, Hartland, Woodstock - will still be open for classes Tuesday.
Similarly, all schools in the Francophone Sud School District - which operates French schools in Fredericton and surrounding communities - are closed Tuesday as well, it reported on its website early Tuesday.
